In 1999 Identrus organized all of the leading banks in the world in an innovative 4 corner model of trust for banks, suppliers and customers. My role in the innovation was to provide for testing, validation, and security reviews of the protocols. This was XML, SOA, XMLdsig in its earliest forms, and while the trust model never achieved the level of planned acceptance, this work laid the foundation for web service security as we know it today.
