Today nexLink became the first United Healthcare application to leverage the Ingenix PKI Infrastructure (IPA). nexLink is a state of art medical records processing system which is projected to provide an estimated $200M in annual savings. Both nexLink and IPA are based on web service interfaces. I provided design, development and implementation services for API between nexLink and IPA, as well as design of the IPA itself. This engagement required coordination with development teams in 7 locations over a two year period.

The Deptarment of Health in the UK operates summary patient records that are available to patient care providers wherever in the UK the patient happens to be. The Web service infrastructure behind this capability is called Spine. Spine is built with Intel appliances and XML software software. I managed the technical delivery and training for Intel as this technology moved from test to production.
